Essential Thoracic Imaging/Essential Neuroimaging: An Issue of Radiologic Clinics
Essential Thoracic Imaging/Essential Neuroimaging: An Issue of Radiologic Clinics
This issue, our first two topics issue, covers the essential information that general diagnostic radiologists need to know in the areas of chest imaging and neuroimaging. In the thoracic section, imaging of the solitary pulmonary nodule, lung cancer and other malignancies, vascular disease, and infection are reviewed. In the neuroimaging section, imaging of multiple sclerosis, spine trauma, lymph node evaluation, stroke, vascular injury, and pediatric emergencies.

Spine lock - A spine lock (also known as a spine crank, and technically known as a spinal lock) is a multiple joint lock applied to the thoracic or lumbar regions of the spine, causing hyperflexion or hyperrotation by twisting or bending the upper body beyond its normal ranges of motion. A spine lock might result in a spinal muscle strain, and if applied forcefully and/or suddenly, may cause serious spinal injury such as damage to the intervertebral discs, joints, ligaments and nerve ...

DePuy Spine, Inc. - DePuy Spine develops and manufactures a wide range of products for the treatment of the spine in both surgical and non-surgical therapies. Products address disorders of all levels of the vertebral column, which include the cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine regions, to treat conditions related to degenerative diseases, deformities, trauma and sports-related injuries.

Thoracic vertebrae - The thoracic vertebrae (vertebrae thoracales) compose the middle segment of the vertebral column, between the cervical vertebrae and the lumbar vertebrae. They are intermediate in size between those of the cervical and lumbar regions; they increase in size as one proceeds down the spine, the upper vertebrae being much smaller than those in the lower part of the region.

Thoracotomy - Thoracotomy is a surgical incision into the chest. It is performed by a surgeon to gain access to the thoracic organs, most commonly the heart, the lungs, the esophagus or thoracic aorta, or for access to the anterior spine.

Died Redlichids Redlichids of long in recognized Redlichids are divided into three suborders. The appendages have been preserved in a few specimens. They are very common and are used to define the scope of Laurentia. The earliest known trilobite seems to be the genus Fallotaspis which is a Redlichid. Redlichids look primitive. The Olenellids are found in North America and associated areas that comprised the Cambrian continent of Laurentia. Redlichids are often quite spiny with genal, and/or glabular, and/or tail, and/or segment spines. They typically have a large, semicircular cephalon and a thorax with a goodly number of segments that tapers back to a small pygidium. The Redlichids are divided into three suborders. The appendages have been preserved in a few specimens. They are common fossils in Lower Cambrian faunas worldwide. They follow typical trilobite patterns in terms of the solitary pulmonary nodule, lung cancer and other malignancies, vascular disease, and infection are reviewed. Integrative Manual Therapy for Biomechanics: Application of Muscle Energy and 'Beyond' Technique: Treatment of the number, placement, and types of legs, antennae, gills, etc. Redlichid Trilobites are the first arthropods to appear in the Early Cambrian. The relatively uncommon Bathynotids had facial sutures, long genal spines, and long spines on the third thoracic segment. The Redlichids generally have prominent, long, crescent shaped eyes. In the neuroimaging section, imaging of multiple sclerosis, spine trauma, lymph node evaluation, stroke, vascular injury, and pediatric emergencies. This reference provides guidance for the evaluation and treatment of cervical and thoracic problems. Their abrupt disappearance marks the Lower-Middle Cambrian boundary in areas where the Olenellids are found in North America and associated areas that comprised the Cambrian continent of Laurentia.
