Anterior superior iliac spine - The anterior superior iliac spine (ASIS) is an important landmark of surface anatomy. It refers to the anterior extremity of the iliac crest of the pelvis, which provides attachment for the inguinal ligament and the sartorius muscle.

Axis (anatomy) - In anatomy, the second cervical vertebra (C2) of the spine is named the axis or epistropheus. It forms the pivot upon which the first cervical vertebra (the atlas), which carries the head, rotates.

Atlas (anatomy) - In anatomy, the Atlas (C1) is the topmost (first) cervical vertebra of the spine. It is named for the Atlas of mythology, because it supports the globe of the head.
